Our Desserts

At Tamar Foods we also operate a satellite desserts facility in Launceston. The Duchy Desserts site was acquired from the Prince of Wales’ Duchy Originals Bakery in 2009. Since then, it has grown in size and now employs around 90 staff working across three shifts.

The site produces desserts for both Waitrose and Sainsbury’s and it has a number of product ranges including melt-in-the-middle sponges, traditional baked sponges, bread & butter and rice puddings as well as cold eating desserts such as brulee, tarts and cheesecakes.
