160 Years Pride in Pies2011 marks the 160th anniversary of Dickinson & Morris Melton Mowbray Pork Pies.

The business received an honorary Royal visit from Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall as part of the brand’s 160th anniversary celebrations. Their Royal Highnesses enjoyed making their own authentic Melton Mowbray Pork Pies which were baked and delivered to Clarence House the following day.

The brand launched an online campaign to find living descendants of the business’ founders, via social media Twitter and Facebook and also traditional consumer media. A number of relatives (from as far away as New Zealand) have been traced back to the original founders of the business.
